Family Life
|
This ministry is directed by Matthew & Richel Stump and is intended to help families learn how to build lasting relationships, receive child care instructions, improve parenting skills and to support new mothers. They have 3 children and moved back to Altoona in 2008. There are many different definitions for the term "Family Life Ministry" The basic premise of what we hope to do is help people develop a more intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. In turn they will be an asset to the family that meets in Altoona. We want people to connect with what God has called them to do and understand that they can be a blessing to others. Another goal is to help others become spiritually healthy so that they can have an effective ministry. We are developing a vision and strategy for the young people at Pleasant Valley. |
We want our children to know that Jesus loves them, grow up in an environment that helps them get closer to Him, and prepare them to go into their world to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. Our intent is to deliberately make disciples for Jesus Christ. We want Pleasant Valley to be a place that produces young missionaries which go into the world around us. Another aspect of our family ministry is our desire to help the individual family units in the world to be grounded in the Word of God. Matt and Richel have developed a parenting workshop that can inspire parents, instead of the world, to be actively involved in the lives of their children. Full-Contact Parenting takes a pro-active approach to parenting, diving into areas such as the internet, Bible studies, finances, and relationships. We look forward to hearing from you. |
